Close to home

Last month, i received a warm email from a man who had just found my work online. He explained that he was looking for a stone to replace one that had belonged to one of his twin sons who had either misplaced or lost it. He didn’t need to explain further, because getting his son outfitted with a new stone was my new mission (my posture corrected like a super hero as i read on). He explained that his son was quite spiritually advanced for his young age, he reads crystal books daily, is never seen without his trusty Tibetan quartz pendant, and that it was devastating for him when he lost the stone… even more so that their family had recently suffered a traumatic loss. I checked his location out, only to find that he lived but 15 minutes away! So, we agreed to meet up at his house for coffee and conversation. I packed up every last rock in my shop and we selected a proper replacement… ah yes, a fine one from Nepal was the one! He decided to keep it raw like the last one and simply have me drill and mount it… i added a Neolithic bead and delivered later that night. Im told his son was ecstatic, and went straight for it when he arrived home! My cape now hangs in the closet!
